StudentSportsSoftball.com sent out questions to softball players all over the country. Today we wanted everyone to share what was the best advice they had ever been given.

In sports we have people who support us and help us through slumps and rough times individually and as a team. The things those people say may stick with us and alter us as players and people. Check out what they said and it just might help you out next time you need a boost!

What is the best advice you have ever received?
"If you expect great things for yourself, they will come!" or "U can play with all the talent in the world, but without some heart and guts you'll just be another girl in the line up."

What is the best advice you have ever received?
To never give up because I had to face my brother's death a year ago and it almost stopped me from continuing in softball and if I did stop I would not have gotten my full ride scholarship to Long Beach State. My coach told me that things will only get better for me and that I would regret giving up softball in the long run and thank god i listened to him.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
The best advice that I've ever received was given to me when I was a lot
younger, after my team lost the championship game of a little league tournament.

I was upset because that game was the "most important game of my life" - that's
when a very influential coach of mine calmed me down and said "honey, yes, this
was the most important game of your life. But tomorrow, tomorrow's game will be
the most important of your life. Every game that you play in is the most
important of your life, so play hard every pitch, every swing, every out, every
inning, every game." This is the advice I live by!

Tony Rico always tells me," Be in a good state of mind." His advice has mentally helped me to be certain of myself. Always being in a good state of mind leaves all the what if? I have mentally grown through his words. If your not in a good state of mind why even bother stepping between those lines.

To relax and never forget why I am playing: because this is what I love, and to never think that I cannot learn from my mistakes; there is not one perfect kid out there.
